ConditionsThe present general terms and conditions of sale concern the whole of the activities between the company Armes Bastille RCS Paris 439 860 099 00019- APE 2540Z- VAT intra FR 438 860 099, the registered office of which is PARIS 61 rue de Lyon 75012, and its clients.
Prior to all transaction,
the client acknowledges and accepts these general terms and conditions of sale
on clicking on the "I accept" button.
1. Specific terms of sale:
The client acknowledges the terms of sale visible on the screen on placing the order. Information on the site is non-contractual, only the information confirmed by Courty & Fils, is therefore valid. This applies to delivery rates, delivery and delivery method.
The placement of the order and the confirmation by the client mark
the full acceptance of the client of the terms and conditions of sale.
2. Product information:
Product photographs are not covered by contractual conditions. If
these images present any error, Armes
Bastille cannot be held responsible. Accompanying text is reproduced from
information featured on the product packaging; this information does not enter
into the responsibility of Courty &
Fils.
3. Username and password:
As of the first order placed by the client and so as to personalize the user space of each client, a username and a password of at least 4 alphanumerical characters must be chosen by the client. The system then verifies the uniqueness of this identification.
In the case that the client forgets the password, they are able to
click on "Forgot your password"? and the system will re-send the password by
email. This password does not enable payment for any product.
4. Ordering:
The client begins the order process by clicking on the "add to basket" button. Before clicking on the "confirm and pay" button on the menu bar, the client is presented with all the details of the order. The automatic registration system used by Courty & Fils is considered as sufficient proof of the details, the date and the contents of the order
For all orders of 500 ? and over (product cost, all taxes included),
it is necessary to send to Courty &
Fils a printout of the order confirmation form signed by the client. The
present general terms and conditions of sale should be printed, attached and
signed by the client. Without this documentation, no order of 500 ? and over can
be treated and will not be considered legally valid.
5. Order confirmation
Courty & Fils is able to confirm orders by email, fax, telephone or post. The
sale will only be finalized on confirmation of the order by Courty & Fils. Courty & Fils reserves the right to not confirm an order,
whatever the reason. This may be due to product supply, a problem with the
order (such as an illegible document or an expired firearms license/ hunting
permit), an unusual order or a problem concerning delivery.
Courty & Fils will inform clients using any of the above means.
All new orders placed by clients will only be treated if all
previous orders have been paid in full.
6. Product availability
The location and the date of availability is decided by the client on placing the order, depending on whether the client chooses home delivery or store collection of the item. If collection in store is chosen, this is dependent on the collection times offered by Courty & Fils.
The client is responsible for the reception of the goods, either in store or at home (according to the delivery address entered by the client), at the date and time agreed on by Courty & Fils on placement of the order The client must provide proof of identity and if necessary, the order number which features on the order confirmation.
The client must additionally sign an acknowledgement of receipt provided by Courty & Fils, on which may also be left any comments concerning the order by Courty & Fils. On signing this receipt, the client acknowledges having received the item.
If any item is discovered to be damaged on reception, or if any item is lost in transit, the client is asked to make a claim to our Customer Services by email or by post to 44, Rue des Petits Champs 75002 Paris, or by fax on 01 42 61 33 48.
Any events, of whatever nature, outside of the control of Courty & Fils, such as accidents, strikes, administrative decisions or transport suspension, which delay, prevent or render exorbitant the execution of supplies, constitutes, by express agreement, the suspension or the suppression of Courty & Fils?s obligations, against its will, without compensation to the client if the event is extended beyond 1 month.
The client may ask to be reimbursed if Courty & Fils is unable to supply a product to the equivalent
of the order value. Courty & Fils
commits to reimbursement of the client within 15 days of this demand. When a
client is unable to receive an item, for a reason on their part, Courty & Fils reserves the right to
bill a token contribution of 13? covering preparation costs. Likewise, in the
case of home delivery, if a client is absent at the agreed upon date and time,
delivery costs are lost to the client.
7. Price and payment
The price billed to the client is the price indicated on the order
confirmation sent by Courty & Fils.
Payment is to be made by credit or debit card, cheque or cash in store. The
credit or debit card will be debited in euros after the order is confirmed by Courty & Fils. Courty & Fils retains ownership of the product until total
payment is made.
8. Cooling off period and product returns
Pursuant to the law of the 6th of January, 1988, the
client is provided with a cooling off period of 7 days as of the reception of
the goods, in which he is able to return, at his own cost, the goods to Courty & Fils for an exchange or
refund, without penalty, either at the store at 61 Rue de Lyon 75012, or by
mail to the same address. Products must be returned in their original
packaging. This packaging must be intact and not have been opened or damaged in
any way that renders the product unsuitable for sale. In the case of the
non-respect by Courty & Fils of
the order confirmation obligation, the cooling off period is extended to 3
months as of reception of the goods by the client. If during these 3 months,
email confirmation is sent and received by the client, the cooling off period
is reduced to 7 days as of the reception of the aforementioned email. In the
case that the client chooses to use this cooling off period, Courty & Fils will refund the
client of the payment made, without charges, within 30 days maximum.
10. Guarantee
The client is protected by legal guarantee in the case of hidden
defects on products sold.
11. Resolution clause
In the case of unpaid fees owed by a client, Courty & Fils can suspend immediately the client?s user name
and password.

All requests and problems are noted and treated on receipt of the
letter, fax, email or telephone call.
13. Personal information
Courty & Fils's personal information files are declared to the National Commission for Data Protection. The client retains the right to access, to correct, to oppose and to remove any personal information at any time. In order to exercise this right at any time, go to the "My account" section of the website or write to Courty & Fils 44, Rue des Petits Champs, 75002, Paris.
Armes Bastille is the only company to use client information. However after asking
for authorization, Courty & Fils
may share mailing list information with other companies.
14. Intellectual Property Rights
The Courty & Fils
team holds the intellectual property rights to the website Couteaux-courty.com, it is therefore expressly forbidden to copy or
to download all or a part of its content with prior authorization from Courty & Fils.
15. Applicable law
The present general terms and conditions of sale are subject to French law.
